The Alzheimer Society of Canada’s referral service is here for you: 1-855-705-4636 (INFO)
You are not alone. No matter where you live in Canada and what your experience with dementia looks like, we are here to support you. Find out below how to connect to the help you need.
What can the referral service do for me?
Whether you are concerned about dementia, living with dementia, or supporting people living with dementia, the Alzheimer Society of Canada’s referral service is your one-stop resource that connects you to programs that can support you in living well. Through the referral service, we can also help you with answers to any concerns you may have about dementia.
When you contact the referral service, you get connected to professional Community Resource Specialists. These Specialists, who speak English and French, are trained to understand your unique needs, no matter what your experience is with dementia.
As well, the Specialists can further connect you to your local Alzheimer Society – and with more than a hundred offices across the country, there is an Alzheimer Society that can help you, no matter where you are in Canada. Once connected, you will be able to access a range of services that include support groups, counselling, dementia workshops, care navigation and more.
The referral service is not a crisis or counselling line. If you are in crisis and need immediate assistance, please call 911.
Who can use the referral service?
The referral service is designed specifically for people living with dementia, family caregivers who are supporting people living with dementia and people concerned about dementia and are looking for more information. If you need support services, we will make a direct referral on your behalf to services our provincial partners offer in your community.
As well, if you are a healthcare professional or service provider, know that you can also use the referral service to find information for your patients and clients, and connect them to their local Alzheimer Society.

What happens when I contact the referral service?
