Minds in Motion® is a physical activity and brain stimulation program for people with dementia and their care partners, delivered in partnership with the YMCA of St. Catharines.

The Minds in Motion® Program runs for 8 weeks for 1 session per week each Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. Space is limited to 22 participants (11 individuals living with cognitive change and 11 care partners). There is no cost for this program. Participants are welcome to join at any point during the 8 weeks.

Minds in Motion® is a community-based social program that incorporates physical activity and mental stimulation for people with early to mid-stage signs of dementia and their care partners. In Niagara the program is run at the St. Catharines YMCA with support from Court Holdings Limited.

Who can participate?

Individuals concerned about their memory, individuals living with cognitive change or dementia and their care partners are welcome to attend!

Participants must be able to engage independently in the program or be accompanied by a care partner.  Please note this is not a respite program and staff are unable to provide personal care support, physical or medical assistance, and are not able to prevent participants from leaving the venue.  If you require respite services contact our office at 905-687-3914 and we will be happy to help you explore your options.

First Link Learning Series
