Dementia can cause changes in abilities, behaviour, and communication that affect an individual’s daily life. Becoming aware of these changes – known as the ABC’s of Dementia – can increase our ability to access support and early diagnosis, should we notice these signs in ourselves or others we care about.
This presentation is offered as part of the Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan project. Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan is led by the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit (SPHERU) at the University of Regina and is funded by the Government of Canada.

60% of people living with dementia live in their homes in their communities and want to continue doing so as fully and for as long as possible. A community of support and understanding can change everything for people affected by the disease and their care partners.
This public forum is offered as part of the Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan project. Dementia Supports in Rural Saskatchewan is a multi-year, federally funded project intended to increase social inclusion of people living with dementia in Yorkton, Melville, and the surrounding rural communities.
